“It is the best day ever. So was yesterday, and so is tomorrow, and every day from now until forever.”

The Barbie movie was a successful movie loved by many. The film released less than two months ago but only needed a week to make $162 million in profit.
Viewers raved about the message behind the movie and after watching it, it is clear why. Barbie is a comedy/drama film directed by Greta Gerwig. The main character are Barbie and Ken played by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Barbie and Ken take a strange shift from Barbie Land, a perfect wonderful world, to the “Real World” where things change drastically for both.
Robbie and Gosling take on the roles of Barbie and Ken and give such a wonderful performance, they brought these dolls to life. All the actors and actresses did a marvelous job like Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, and Michael Cera.
Just as the Barbies were brought to life so were the dreamhouses. The sets were beautiful and made Barbie Land appear perfect just like Barbie. Its unimaginable, colorful, pretty in pink. The details and accessories were brought from doll size to life size.
This film displayed a wheel of emotions. Watching this movie made me feel laughter, cheer, and sorrow, some emotions were least expected from this movie and that’s why it’s a must to watch it because, it’s a new experience.
Some may think it’s only for a certain audience but it’s much more. The Barbie Movie presents the unexpected from the expected, and everyone can enjoy it.
The message of this film was much more, it made people realize that it’s okay to not know what you want but its not okay to not take action upon it.
Although everyone was barbie and ken, they all appeared differently, they all had their own careers. That was what I enjoyed most about the film because it showcased the variation careers that each barbie had. They carried that independence in the film.
Another focal point is relating Barbie to the real world. The film really provided relatable content to connect with the audience. Barbie was overwhelmed with emotion on how she was going to take on her future, everyone had an ending they appreciated, but barbie wasn’t content with hers.
Many have people have a problem with deciding what they will eat for dinner, let alone a future.
The film wasn’t just a comedy but did have a musical scene. Ken himself had a musical scene; it was my favorite scene out of the whole movie. It sort of puts the audience in Ken shoes and makes us understand him. His musical is about how he is Ken, and he is enough, quite a catchy song.
Overall, the Barbie movie is an adventurous film that I believe is a worthwhile watch. It really brought out a laugh and a tear. A movie that we can all connect with.
