Christmas is a nice holiday loved by many throughout the world. People all over put up Christmas lights and other decorations to celebrate and get into the Christmas spirit but when is it too early to start putting them up?
Some people start putting them up even before Halloween, which is way too early, and some people don’t take them down until the summer after which is way too long to wait.
Yes, Christmas lights and other decorations are pretty, and people enjoy them, but they are for Christmas time and not for Halloween, Thanksgiving or summertime either, it would be like decorating for Halloween in July.
If you put them up right after Thanksgiving that’s different than having them up at the beginning of November and eating your turkey with the Christmas tree. When it comes to decorating for Christmas, I don't start until after Thanksgiving, that way I can celebrate it without having to worry about Christmas just yet.
At some point after Thanksgiving would be a good time to put up your decorations for Christmas considering it’s the next holiday coming up. Nevertheless, putting them up before that when there's already a holiday before it and you'd be decorating a month or more early is unnecessary. According to “The Spruce” survey hey said, “According to the survey results, 43 percent of people decorate for Christmas between Thanksgiving Day and the following Sunday” and according to “Yahoo.com” Twenty-two percent of people decorate before Thanksgiving.
You should take them down before New Year's so that even your house also has a fresh start and isn't stuck back in the previous year, but many take their tree down after January 6 because of their religion or beliefs involving the three wise men.
Even though Christmas decorations are pretty and can be fun to put up with your loved ones, you shouldn’t decorate too early and leave them up too late. Getting ready for Christmas can be exciting with all the lights, the treats, the tree and of course the presents that Santa will bring, but the Christmas spirit should be during Christmas time and not during Halloween or Thanksgiving and not June or July.
